Actor and comedian Tirthanand Rao, known for his work with Kapil Sharma in Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe, made an attempt to end his life during a live session on social media. In a Facebook Live video streamed on his official page, Tirthanand Rao accused a woman of being responsible for his current state.

During the live session, Tirthanand revealed that he was involved in a “live-in” relationship with the woman in question. He alleged that she emotionally manipulated him and extorted money from him.

“I am in debt of Rs 3-4 lakh because of this woman. I have known her since October last year. She filed a police complaint against me in Bhayandar, and I was unaware of the reasons behind it. She would also call me and express her desire to meet,” Tirthanand said in the video.

While sharing his distressing experience, the actor took out a bottle of insect repellent, poured it into a glass, and consumed it. Concerned friends who watched Rao’s video immediately rushed to his residence and found him unconscious. They promptly contacted the police and rushed him to the hospital.

This is not the first time Tirthanand Rao has attempted suicide. He had previously made a suicide attempt in December 2021. On December 27, 2021, Rao went live on Facebook and informed his assistant about his decision to take such a drastic step in life due to various reasons.

In a conversation with News18.com, the actor revealed,

“The past two years have been extremely challenging. My financial situation is in ruins, and I have no savings. I have some pending work, including a film called ‘Pav Bhaji,’ which is yet to be released, but I haven’t been paid. The same goes for a couple of web series that I worked on.

There have been days when I couldn’t afford a proper meal and survived on just one vada pav. I realized that ending my life seemed to be the only way out of this mess.”
